Overview
Construction Project Manager Co-op (Spring/Summer 2026) — ARCO National Construction Company. Location: Riverside, Missouri. A Co-op is an 6-8 month, full-time experience where the student may take the semester off or coordinate with career services for Co-op requirements. The student will assist Project Managers with a range of tasks to learn real-world project delivery.
Responsibilities
Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values to projects.
Scheduling – create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
Design meetings – attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design and scope for structural engineers, architects.
Buyout – send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; receive and evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
Permitting – fill out permit forms, submit with drawings and fees, then send to city/county/fire for approval.
Shop drawing and submittal review – receive shop drawings/submittals, review, and communicate timelines to subcontractors.
Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure project runs smoothly.
Necessary Qualifications
Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s degree program.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.
