Overview

Kennedy Jenks is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Environmental Engineer for our Remediation and Compliance group to support both municipal and private sector clients in environmental investigation and remediation projects. You will work with a large environmental team consisting of scientists and engineers solving complex environmental problems. Review and guide staff-developed work plans for site delineation and pilot testing of remedial alternatives. Lead teams to conduct and document remedial action feasibility studies, prepare remedial action plans, and design remediation systems. Oversee engineers, scientists, and other team members to develop and evaluate remedial alternatives and options analyses. Work with colleagues to prepare bid specifications and evaluate contractor bids. Provide senior oversight to teams during the construction and operation of designed treatment technologies, including monitoring and evaluation of treatment effectiveness and regulatory reporting. Lead development and review of technical documents, reports, and designs. Oversee quality assurance / quality control of deliverables for both self-managed projects and projects managed by others. Work collaboratively with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff. Qualifications

BS (MS preferred) in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. At least 10 years (15+ years preferred) of consulting experience, both in-office and fieldwork. Practical experience in developing and evaluating remedial alternatives, completing options analyses, designing, implementing, and overseeing the operation of environmental remediation systems (e.g., bioremediation, In-Situ Chemical Oxidation, etc.); evaluating remedial progress data and adjusting strategies; managing project schedules and budgets; and supervising and mentoring mid- and junior-level staff and / or field personnel. Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects. Experience with a variety of remedial technologies such as Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Air Sparging, Dual Phase Extraction (DPE), in-situ bioremediation, In-Situ Chemical Oxidation, groundwater extraction and treatment, dig and haul, and waste disposal / waste characterization. Understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks under RCRA and CERCLA, and familiarity with construction techniques for remedial activities. Experience with petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated compounds, metals, PFAS, PCBs, dioxins and furans, and other compounds common to site remediation is expected. Business development and client service management experience, along with staff supervision and technical leadership through participation in ITRC and similar local, national, and industry-specific organizations, is desirable. Princeton, NJ Portland, OR Federal Way, WA California The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 to $200,000, and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure / certifications, and geographic location. This position is eligible for performance and incentive compensation. Benefits Summary:
