We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Ethics & Compliance Counsel who will provide advice to employees on ethics & compliance topics and continue to evolve our Ethics & Compliance training program, policy management, third party management, and risk assessment process.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing the Global Ethics & Compliance Program priorities.
- Provide legal guidance on relevant compliance issues, including those related to anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery/anti-corruption (ABAC) and trade sanctions issues.
- Continue developing our third-party due diligence process and advise employees on third party risks and mitigation strategies.
- Develop content for employee training and communications and roll-out the related training and communication campaigns.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify gaps and make recommendations on how to enhance the Ethics & Compliance program.
- Ensure that global E&C policies are consistent with current legal and regulatory requirements and incorporate global best practices, as appropriate.
- Act as a resource for Regional Compliance Directors to implement the Global Ethics & Compliance Program in each of their respective regions.
- Establish strong working relationships and build trust and credibility with stakeholders, influencing and supporting a culture of integrity.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Education
- JD or equivalent degree preferred.
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction preferred.
Skills/Experience
- 10+ years of experience with advising/counseling on AML, ABAC & trade sanctions laws and regulations.
- Extensive familiarity with global AML, ABAC and trade sanctions laws.
- Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, and comfortable presenting information to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to network and create strong working relationships across a global organization.
- A confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, manage multiple projects simultaneously, think creatively, and work independently.
