Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour . Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical questions from clients regarding all aspects of the scheduling software and its capabilities.
  • Review and test new releases and enhancements of the software code to verify advertised functionality.
  • Investigate and implement new functionality into production and perform related project work.
  • Support instances of the automated scheduler in host and agent environments, including development (IDE) and QA environments.
  • Provide 24x7 support for the scheduling system.
  • Support a number of in-house tools such as Corpcal, PODS, and Universal Rates Repository.
  • Working knowledge of Job Scheduling, product support, and administration with CA7/CA11 tool set.
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases using Oracle/DB2 SQL. Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance. Assist with CI/CD tools/pipelines.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of all uses of the automated scheduler in host and agent environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience scheduling/administering/supporting the TWS/z software or other Mainframe schedulers such as CA7/Control-M in a large multi-LPAR/multi-SYSPLEX batch environment.
  • Must possess an excellent understanding and knowledge of JCL/REXX/VSAM, catalogued procedures and standard batch processing.
  • Must understand the use and application of the various databases within the scheduling software.
  • Ability to respond to technical questions and provide timely resolution in high-risk situations.
  • Must be able to apply database changes with a high degree of accuracy in desired timeframes using release management approval and deployment tools.
  • Will review and test new releases and enhancements of the software to verify functionality.
  • Ability to work with in-house tools and support environments (IDE, QA).
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle/DB2 SQL and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
