Accounting and Finance Manager for Massy Distribution USA

Overview

Accounting and Finance Manager to support Massy Distribution USA. Flexibility to travel to the Miami Office is needed. The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting/financial reporting standards and regulations, and supporting financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and policy compliance. The Finance and Accounting Manager works closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll and bank reconciliations; prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure IFRS and local tax compliance; prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow); provide financial insights and analysis to senior management; support decision-making through financial modeling and scenario analysis; communicate financial performance to internal and external stakeholders; prepare board reports including ERM reporting as required.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; analyze performance, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights; identify and mitigate risks related to inventory, shrinkage, damage, and theft; oversight of inventory cycle counts and annual counts; enforce inventory control policies including cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity; develop investment and funding strategies; manage banking relationships and financial agreements; support supplier relationships as needed.
• Cost Management & Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities, margin improvement strategies, and process improvements; monitor expenses and recommend strategies to improve efficiency; implement financial controls and risk management policies.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with accounting standards; establish and maintain internal controls and financial policies; oversee month-end and year-end closing processes; coordinate audits with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies; address audit points and strive for timely closure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management
• MBA or CPA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or related roles
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
