Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a financial professional with a strong background in nonprofit accounting , multi-entity financial management , and deep expertise in Sage Intacct . The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a proven track record of driving accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning in a nonprofit setting.

Base pay range
$125.00/yr - $140.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Lead annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard organizational assets.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Manage the implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to support their professional development.
Qualifications
- CPA certification required .
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a nonprofit environment .
- Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting and reporting.
- Expertise in Sage Intacct is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work collaboratively across departments.
