Our client, a manufacturer of fine foods with locations throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced Warehouse Associate – General Laborer, to join our winning team in Centre Hall. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and general labor functions throughout our production facility to include learning all aspects of the operation’s line flow and set up of products for production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Stacks boxes of products on pallets and shrink wraps for storage. Inspects finished product for quality and proper labeling. Packs finished product into boxes or totes, inspects pallets, boxes, and totes for defective units not to be used; places poly liners in totes; assures proper weights; and stacks and shrink wraps for storage as needed. Learns the line flow and sets up production of various products for the Production Department. Cleans machinery as applicable. Ensures the work areas are clean and in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Performs various checks and does paperwork throughout the shift ensuring accuracy and legible handwriting. Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality polices and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc. Adheres to common safety practices and procedures, including the wearing of proper PPE’s when necessary. Reports safety issues immediately to Supervisor and/or Lead. Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and understand the English language General skills to satisfactorily complete job requirements Ability to work well with all employees (including management).
