Job Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Float Pool team in Helena, MT. This role is ideal for an adaptable RN with strong Stepdown experience who is comfortable floating between multiple units, including Med/Surg, ICU, and Surgical Oncology. The ability to take on a charge nurse role when needed is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in Stepdown, Med/Surg, ICU, and Surgical Oncology units
Manage typical patient ratios of 1:5–6 in Med/Surg and Stepdown settings
Float between units based on facility needs
Serve as charge nurse if required
Care for patients with conditions approaching Stepdown acuity
Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Stepdown RN experience (required)
Prior travel nursing experience (required)
Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
ICU experience (preferred)
Previous charge nurse experience or willingness to cross-train (preferred)
Comfortable floating across departments
Must live outside a 200-mile radius of Helena, MT (no locals accepted)
DextroMedical Job ID #AN-0601. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
