Overview

Are you an experienced financial reporting professional looking to play a key role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Were seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to drive SEC reporting, technical accounting research, and compliance efforts. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial disclosures, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities

SEC Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly/annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, etc.), including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
  • Ensure timely preparation of earnings release financials, including GAAP to Non-GAAP reconciliations and Form 8-K filings.
  • Own the Proxy process, working with the Chief Legal Officer to update key disclosures.

Technical Accounting & Research

  • Research and draft whitepapers on complex accounting issues and new FASB/SEC regulations.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos for revenue recognition, goodwill impairment, segment reporting, and going concern analysis.
  • Assist in implementation of new accounting standards.

Audit & SOX Compliance

  • Support external audits and quarterly reviews, ensuring smooth processes and timely completion.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring SOX 404 compliance.
  • Lead UK statutory and bank audits.

General Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Oversee revenue recognition analysis, COGS entries, and margin analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory reporting, accruals (freight, SIP, E&O), and account reconciliations.
  • Own NetSuite maintenance, including period close, GL account setup, and report updates.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, debt compliance reports, and Audit Committee decks.
  • Manage disclosure checklists and coordinate Disclosure Committee meetings.
Qualifications

Education & Certification: Bachelors degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred (Big 4 experience a plus).

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a mix of public accounting and industry (preferably manufacturing).
  • Strong SEC reporting experience, with hands-on responsibility for filings.
  • Multinational company experience and foreign exchange familiarity a plus.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; NetSuite & SEC reporting tools (Active Disclosure) a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
