What To Expect
The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for leading a team and the overall management and execution of the external reporting requirements of HCA for US GAAP and IFRS. This includes management of quarterly reviews and annual audit requirements performed by external auditors, including financial, compliance and investor reporting related to HCAs financial results. The role also involves technical accounting research on new pronouncements and new product initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Financial Reporting Activities
- Oversee and execute all financial reporting activities related to US GAAP and IFRS, including producing quarterly/annual financial statements with related disclosures, investor relations reporting, state licensing filings, and legal entity level reporting for the Korean FSS regulatory body.
- Develop financial analyses and metrics, coordinate with parent companies on consolidation matters and other reporting matters related to IFRS requirements.
- Audit Oversight
- Manage and execute quarterly financial statement reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors, including managing PBC lists for quarterly reviews, entity-level control testing, process walkthroughs, and interim/annual audit work.
- Collaborate across the Accounting & Tax department and with various business departments (e.g., Treasury, Servicing/Operations, Remarketing).
- Technical Accounting
- Research technical accounting topics, analyze business impact, propose solutions for implementation, and draft technical accounting memos.
- Assist with documentation of new desktop procedures, general ledger mapping, and other ad hoc requests regarding technical accounting matters.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ICFR standards by self and within the Financial Reporting team, assess existing controls, remediate identified gaps, and uphold adherence to KSOX controls.
- Identify, manage and mitigate financial reporting, compliance and operational risks; promote effective financial controls and operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration and growth.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant financial reporting and accounting experience; automotive or financial services industries preferred.
- Public audit experience (or equivalent) strongly desired.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA/MBA strongly desired.
- Broad technical accounting background with solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Problem solver with strong decision-making abilities.
- Strong knowledge of the interaction of Balance Sheet accounts with the Income Statement and Cash Flow.
- Solid knowledge of intercompany accounting and consolidation implications.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to guide staff.
- Analytical, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-starter and highly motivated; strong PC skills with advanced MS Excel.
- Ability to establish credibility with internal stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Employees in this role are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use. Work is performed in an office environment.
Salary
Minimum Salary: 103,400.00; Maximum Salary: 160,300.00.
