Senior Applications Engineer

The HVAC Applications Engineer plays a critical role in assisting customers with designing, implementing, and optimizing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems tailored specifically for applying Samsung HVAC products. This position focuses on ensuring that HVAC solutions meet the unique operational demands of a variety of vertical market applications, including energy efficiency, customer comfort, and regulatory compliance. The engineer will collaborate internally with sales, product management, and technical services and training teams to develop customized applications that enhance system performance and reliability. Ultimately, the HVAC Applications Engineer ensures that clients receive innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable HVAC solutions that support their business objectives. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of proven experience in HVAC system design and application. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, and thermodynamics. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards including ASHRAE, AHRI, international building codes. Preferred Qualifications
Commercial, 3 phase VRF experience. Familiarity with HVAC design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and sustainable HVAC practices. Familiarity in energy modeling software and sustainability assessment tools. Advanced training or certification in HVAC controls and automation systems. Engineering consulting background and/or experience. Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and support to customers regarding HVAC systems and applications. Collaborate with sales and product teams to develop tailored HVAC solutions for retail clients. Conduct training sessions for staff and customers on HVAC system operation and maintenance. Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting HVAC systems.
