Position: Training Support Lead - JBLM (contingent upon contract award). Responsibilities
The overall communications architect for the MTC with coordination responsibility with outside agencies and MTC branches. Lead the network engineering function: create/establish communications architecture, provide oversight (maintenance and repair) of current and future network infrastructure, coordinate communications plans, configure communications equipment, and assist in installing equipment and circuitry to support distributed exercises. Coordinate all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities, the JBLM NEC, and participating tactical units. Plan distribution of data, voice, and VTC over LAN and WAN in classified and unclassified modes for networks, MTC SIMNETs, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, tactical networks, and transport (e.g., JTEN, KTEN, GAIT). Act for the TST team leader when work is outside standard hours or during the team leader's absence. Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS degree in Network Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in network architecture design and implementation. Advanced planning, troubleshooting, and maintenance skills on the Microsoft server platform and CISCO router, switch and network firewall architecture and configurations. Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies. Knowledge of specific product lines (e.g., Cisco, SolarWinds, Hewlett Packard, Tripwire). Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification & Accreditation process and Information Assurance requirements. Must meet DODM 8140.03 (DOD 8570.01-M) IAT II DCWF requirements.
