Principal Business Development Engineer (E-Compressor) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineering Professional to expand our customer base in the U.S.. This role is critical to advancing frontier thermal management technologies in the automotive sector, supporting strategic customer collaborations, and driving customized product development. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry expertise, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Responsibilities
Technology Innovation & Research Conduct advanced research on thermal management technologies in the U.S. automotive industry. Collaborate with global R&D teams to achieve product performance breakthroughs. Customized Technical Development Identify and communicate client-specific technical requirements across various industries. Propose feasible solutions aligned with company resources and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project execution. Strategic Customer Engagement Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic U.S. automotive clients. Provide comprehensive technical solutions and actively participate in customer project planning to promote innovative product applications. Engineering Support Lifecycle Deliver full-spectrum technical support, including pre-sales consultation, project implementation, and post-sales upgrades and maintenance, to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Industry Experience Minimum 10 years in automotive parts R&D. At least 5 years specializing in electric compressors or related technologies. Customer Experience Familiarity with U.S. automotive technical standards and OEM requirements (e.g., GM, Ford, Tesla). Experience with Japanese automotive manufacturers operating in the U.S. is a plus. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of compressor systems and automotive thermal management technologies. Knowledge of relevant U.S. and international regulations and policies. Problem Solving & Customer Orientation Proven ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges. Skilled in gathering customer feedback and identifying improvement opportunities. Committed to delivering exceptional service and follow-through. Learning agility and adaptability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective team collaboration across cultures and functions. Resilience under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
