Base pay range:
$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Other pay information:

Market Engagement:
Engage with manufacturers and tech companies to gather market intelligence through exploratory interviews and ideation sessions, including: Extract decision criteria from firms; understand investment logic, risk appetite, and priorities; surface barriers, ideas, and opportunities. Conduct C-suite level conversations with manufacturers of building equipment, systems, and appliances, focusing on building decarbonization solutions (e.g., heat pumps, envelope solutions, ventilation). Understand variations in decision-making by company size/type; elicit actionable feedback on the client's value proposition. Internal Advisory:
Translate client goals into private-sector business cases; advise on whether proposed programs or supports will meaningfully shift manufacturer investment decisions. Support initiative design with clear logic, structured deals, and investor-facing offers; identify design gaps from a business perspective. Translate aggregated demand and policy levers into investor-relevant metrics; structure potential support packages (capital access, guarantees, etc.). Shape credible offers for manufacturers and identify ways client support can reduce friction (e.g., insurance, qualification, loss reserves). Assist in shifting internal thinking toward outcome-driven, business-savvy approaches and support organizational change at the client organization. Inform client teams whether proposed initiatives align with real-world investment logic. Strategic Influence and Communication:
Build a compelling case for supply chain action and help make client initiatives credible to business leaders. Convince firms to invest in new products, build facilities, and improve delivery models; tailor messaging to decision-makers' concerns. Qualifications
Corporate decision-making fluency, especially understanding CEO/CFO perspectives on capital allocation, risk, and scale. Ability to speak the language of executives and develop plans that appeal to them (not sales/marketing language). Competitive strategy acumen; ability to articulate how competition influences near- and long-term strategy, investments, products, and partnerships. Business case design; ability to narrate how financial impacts, risks, and value drive decisions. Financial literacy; understanding deal components and structures; ability to discuss terms and models. Building financial models is a plus. Capital allocation and risk evaluation; understanding executive views on large investments and risk mitigation. Cross-functional industry fluency; knowledge of supply chain interactions among materials, design, and delivery. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with executives and work cross-functionally. Strategic storytelling and narrative framing; ability to align initiatives with firm goals. Behavioral insight; understanding what motivates action beyond numbers. Preferred experience: Former executive or analyst responsible for corporate strategy. Experience in corporate finance, M&A, private equity, venture capital, or long-term strategy development; go-to-market or capital decisions with manufacturers. Familiarity with capital structuring, early-stage commercialization, and manufacturing scale-up. Preferred Skills
