We are currently representing a prominent commercial construction firm that is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their DFW team. Position Overview:
As a Project Manager you will oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are finished on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and compliance with safety and building regulations. Responsibilities: Pre-Construction Planning: Lead project planning efforts including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, value engineering, and constructability reviews to ensure successful project kickoff. Project Execution: Manage all phases of construction from mobilization through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultantsmaintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Subcontractor Management: Procure, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and vendors. Ensure timely performance, adherence to scope, and alignment with project milestones. Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with site superintendents, field staff, and office teams to ensure alignment on project scope, schedule, safety, and logistics. Permitting & Compliance: Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction to obtain all necessary permits and ensure construction complies with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Cost Control & Budget Management: Track project costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders. Proactively identify and mitigate cost overruns or financial risks. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to reflect actual progress and unforeseen delays. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring construction meets design intent, specifications, and industry best practices. Risk & Safety Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards on-site. Project Closeout: Coordinate final inspections, punch lists, and turnover packages. Ensure all project documentation is completed and client handoff is smooth. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Building Sciences, Architecture, or Engineering. Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial project management and subcontractor & budget oversight. Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Asana, Wrike, MS Project, Autodesk, etc.), strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attributes: Creativity: Ability to develop innovative solutions that lead to increased efficiency, improved workflows, and proactive problem-solving on complex construction challenges.
