Do you have the Magic in you to create memorable experiences all for the love of fun? Do you wish to cast a spell of laughter and enjoyment to the people around you? Want to join a team that creates smiles and memories globally daily? Then you have the magic to be Team Merlin at Merlin Entertainments! We are currently recruiting costume performers to be part of our Costume Character team! You will also have the opportunity to act as a buddy for our onsite characters, so great visitor interaction along with great performance and improvisational skills are a must. This role entails a meet and greet photo element as well as potentially working in other roles across the attraction as required. As a Team Merlin part-time EduTainment Host, you will help to create lifelong memorable experiences in our attraction for our guests while assisting in driving repeat visitation. You will deliver the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, and product knowledge and will ensure that our guests are receiving optimal fun by connecting with them in a magical, fun, and safe environment. SEA LIFE Specific Duties Deliver fun and engaging talks and animal interaction sessions. Help maintain the cleanliness of the aquarium. Share your knowledge of the oceans and educate our guests about conservation in a fun and upbeat manner. Responsibilities Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity. Seeks out guest contact and displays enthusiasm and boundless amounts of fun energy. Ensure our extended lines are managed in a safe way while still delivering an excellent guest experience. Ensure all public areas have well stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and that the areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day. To follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the departments operating plan. Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations. Qualifications & Experience About You Please note to apply for this role your height must be within the following height range: 57 - 59 An outgoing personality with high energy! Strong stamina and ability to move freely in costume. Outstanding customer service skills Excellent improvisation skills A proactive approach - being able to 'think on your feet' and take ownership of issues that may arise. A desire to create memorable experiences for guests. Team player - ability to work within a close-knit team while also being able to work independently. 6 months 1 year experience working in attractions, entertainment, or customer service-based positions preferred.
