Your Role We are seeking a highly analytical and technically savvy Senior Business Analyst [Consultant] to join our Credit Research Technology team. You will be embedded within a dynamic group focused on building innovative research and investment tools used by credit analysts and portfolio managers. Working closely with product owners, developers, and investment professionals, you will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions that drive smarter investment decisions across our fixed income portfolios.
Your Impact As a Senior Business Analyst [Consultant], you will:
Lead the definition and delivery of business and system requirements to support credit research, model-driven analysis, and portfolio management tools.
Serve as a key liaison between credit analysts, portfolio managers, and technology teams to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-performance technical solutions.
Drive end-to-end documentation and stakeholder alignment across agile delivery cycles.
Help shape the data strategy for credit research by integrating credit model data, issuer fundamentals, ESG inputs, and alternative datasets into the research ecosystem.
Influence the firm's digital transformation initiatives through delivery excellence and thought leadership
Your Required Skills
10+ years of experience in Business Analysis at a buy-side Fixed Income asset management firm.
Deep understanding of credit research workflows, with proven experience working alongside credit analysts and portfolio managers.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and investment processes.
Proficiency in:
SQL - for data validation and exploration.
AWS - particularly data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda).
Python - for prototyping analytical tools and performing data analysis.
Strong command of business analysis practices, including:
Agile methodologies
Use case and workflow documentation
Data mapping and transformation
Acceptance criteria and test planning
Excellent communication skills - capable of clearly translating technical issues into business context and vice versa.
Your Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
CFA Certification or progress toward completion.
Familiarity with third-party credit platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Exposure to machine learning or AI frameworks in financial modeling is a plus.
