What You'll Do
Lead business development strategy across commercial, mission critical healthcare, education, industrial, and multi-use sectors.
Cultivate new relationships while deepening connections with general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and key decision-makers.
Partner with the preconstruction and estimating team as part of the business development process.
Partner with executive leadership to drive regional growth initiatives and set long-term revenue goals.
Represent VMG at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings, serving as a brand ambassador.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy.
Ensure the business development process aligns with VMG\'s culture of accountability, service, and innovation.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of progressive experience in business development within commercial construction, mechanical contracting, or related industry.
Proven track record of generating new business and sustaining long-term client partnerships.
Strong leadership experience, ideally with oversight of preconstruction or estimating teams.
Deep understanding of the construction process, specifically HVAC and plumbing systems.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with CRM tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
