senior level technical consultant

to join our ever-growing Allegro practice. Technical consultants are responsible for designing, coding, testing and implementing product customization and interfaces while mentoring other team members. Req.#854171584 #LI-DNI Responsibilities Collaborate with and take guidance from the project manager or principal consultant on work assignments

Participate in, contribute to, and potentially assist with facilitation in requirements gathering sessions with the client

Assume hands-on project implementation duties including design, documentation (notes, specifications), configuration & coding, testing, deployment

Manage up via proactive communication to the project manager or principal consultant of status of assigned responsibilities and any challenges, or roadblocks encountered

Participate in and support design decisions on customizations or interfaces between the CTRM platform and other systems

Present the project’s technical solution to internal staff and client representatives

Support and adhere to implementation best practices in one or more technical development areas of Allegro in all technical design specifications custom coding and testing deliverables

Provide guidance to other technical consultants

Follow Essentia and/or client documentation standards for all deliverables

Provide production support of Allegro for the client’s business needs

Requirements Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related IT field

10+ years’ experience in Software Design and Development and/or deployment

Experience in the commodities field or working with an ETRM/ or CTRM system and/or a Bid to Bill software system

Minimum 5 years direct experience working with Allegro in designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces in client environments

Preferred direct experience working with Allegro in designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces in client environments

Strong Object-Oriented Skills

Experience working with at least one object-oriented languages such as C# .NET, C++ SCRUM/Agile/Waterfall development methodology experience preferred

Experience working with Integrated Development environments such as Visual Studio

Experience in user interface design and implementation following standard integration patterns

Experience with .Net windows forms

Experience with source control and continuous integration tools (GIT, TFS, Confluence, Bamboo) and issue tracking systems (Jira) is required

Experience with MS SQL or Oracle is required; strong understanding of relational database concepts

Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure and AWS)

Good written and oral communication skills

Experienced and skilled user of office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Experience writing technical specifications

Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Must be self-motivated, independent, resourceful and one who is capable of being objective and giving/taking constructive feedback

Ability to work onsite at client locations as needed
