Overview

Genpact invites applications for the role of SQL Developer. The SQL Developer will design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications with a focus on data integrity, security, and performance. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using SQL. Ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance of database systems. Write and optimize large, complex SQL statements. Optimize ETL jobs, tune database queries, and improve job execution times. Work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Leverage SDLC and DevOps practices, including tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SVN, TeamCity, Jenkins, Nolio, and Crucible; participate in CI/CD processes and Agile methodology. Apply data transformation logic, clean data, and ensure data quality in ETL processes. Design stable, reliable, and efficient database solutions; quickly understand large landscapes with numerous stored procedures, triggers, jobs, and data flows. Proficient in writing and editing large SQL statements and in database performance tuning. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git or SVN) for managing Informatica artifacts and production scripts. Proficient in SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS/SSRS) or Informatica. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server. Great teammate and capable of multitasking; adaptable to change. Experience in application development and database performance tuning in large organizations. High level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards. Strong proficiency with SQL Server and cross-database knowledge; ability to design stable, reliable databases. Able to quickly understand existing landscapes with large numbers of stored procedures, triggers, and data flows. Skilled at writing and editing large SQL statements. Experience optimizing ETL jobs and improving query performance. Exposure to SDLC tools; familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into efficient data solutions. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git or SVN) for Informatica artifacts and production scripts. SQL Server-specific skills: stored procedures, query optimization, and related tools.
