Senior Network Engineer

role within the IT department of a critical non-clinical team on a long-term contract. The ideal candidate is highly experienced with enterprise-level network infrastructure, routing protocols, and a range of hardware and software platforms. Base pay range : $67.00/hr - $68.00/hr Location : New York, NY 10065 Assignment Type : Contract (34 weeks) Shift : 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (includes 60-minute break) Department : IT Remote/Hybrid : 34-week remote/hybrid assignment Schedule Flexibility : Required (day/evening/night shifts) Local Candidates : Strongly Preferred Start Date : September 22, 2025 Responsibilities

Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, wireless, and security systems). Support and optimize

routing protocols

including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Manage and maintain

firewalls, load balancers, and wireless solutions

(Palo Alto, F5, Cisco, Aruba, Arista). Administer

DDI solutions (Infoblox)

for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM. Ensure high network availability, performance, and security across multiple platforms. Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot issues related to

STP, HSRP/VRRP, VRF, NAT, QoS, multicast traffic , and Ethernet-based technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new deployments and resolve escalated issues. Document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Participate in on-call rotations and provide flexible coverage as needed. Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience . Experience:

57+ years

supporting network infrastructure products in enterprise environments. Preferred : CCIE or other advanced networking certifications. Experience in healthcare IT environments. Qualifications

Strong expertise with:

F5 load balancers ,

Infoblox DDI solutions ,

Aruba wireless solutions . In-depth understanding of the

OSI model

and interaction between layers. Mastery-level knowledge of:

BGP ,

OSPF ,

EIGRP ,

STP ,

HSRP/VRRP ,

VRF ,

QoS ,

NAT ,

inter- and intra-domain multicast . Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, wireless, and security platforms. Experience with software/platforms:

F5 ,

Infoblox , wireless infrastructure. Networking: Layer 2/3 protocols, advanced switching/routing. Experience

57+ years supporting network infrastructure in enterprise environments (Required) Expert-level understanding of the OSI model Strong command of routing/switching protocols and tools such as:
