$1000 - should your referral start with our client JOB DESCRIPTION Overview A highly regarded law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Estate Planning Associate to join its Private Wealth group in the Washington, D.C. office. This is a high priority hire for the firm. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience with high-net-worth trusts and estates planning, preferably with an LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning, a strong academic background, and experience at a recognized law firm. Draft and implement estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, private foundations, family LLCs, and durable powers of attorney. Advise high-net-worth clients on wealth transfer strategies and business succession planning, including entity structuring and buy-sell agreements. Counsel trustees, executors, and beneficiaries on legal interpretation, tax issues, and fiduciary matters. Prepare and review gift and estate tax returns. Assist with probate and trust administration post-death. Collaborate across practice groups and offices to deliver high-level client service. Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school. Active bar license in the District of Columbia. At least 3-4 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration (high-net-worth focus). Strong academic credentials and prior experience at a reputable law firm. LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
