Overview Grants Compliance Senior Specialist, Community Partnerships & Investments at Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). This role provides subject matter expertise in grant compliance, return on investment, and maintaining standards of performance. The Grants Compliance Senior Specialist enhances impact evaluation strategy and process for the philanthropy portfolio to ensure responsible investments and outcomes aligned with WWP’s mission. This grant auditor role manages back-end grants administration operations with global awareness of grants awarded across WWP programs to ensure stewardship of funds, adherence to grantmaking workflow processes, program alignment, and accountability among WWP partners.

Provide subject matter expertise in grant compliance to help ensure grantees and partners meet high ROI standards in program outcomes, outputs/deliverables, and other metrics. Review all partner contracts and serve as internal expert on grant compliance. Design and execute monitoring processes: file audits, assessments, documenting results, and analyzing data trends. Manage administration of the grant cycle from application to closing, coordinating across vetting teams (Finance, Legal, Communications) and program teams to meet grant requirements. Manage grantee contract requirements and performance. Collaborate with WWP Legal to design grant agreements, amendments, and ensure proper documentation throughout the grant term. Work with Program staff to develop and implement processes to ensure grant compliance. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to assess financial health of potential grantees and collect necessary documentation for vetting teams. Review and evaluate grantee reports to perform due diligence and identify concerns, risks, and opportunities. Lead implementation of internal grantmaking workflow processes and ensure adherence. Co-author intent-of-funding documents outlining ROI outcomes and expectations. Provide investment recommendations to senior leadership. Maintain grant records; monitor and report on grant strategy budgets and ensure compliance with WWP’s investment strategy. Track investment administration, including outcome-based metrics, and prepare reports to leadership. Generate database and budget reports for leadership; ensure grants management database meets legal, finance, and audit requirements. Assist CPI team in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data. Support application of capital and corporate philanthropy strategies; assist CPI team to source, structure, underwrite, and negotiate social investments. Work with Metrics and Programs teams to support KPIs for philanthropy grantees; incorporate best practices in grant compliance and governance. Review, analyze, and evaluate proposals through social and mission due diligence. Manage grant management software (DocuPhase, DocuSign) and related technology enhancements. Track, analyze, and report on trends in corporate philanthropy and corporate responsibility sectors; apply lessons to maximize impact and visibility. Maintain regular communication with WWP leadership, vetting teams, and teammates regarding grant compliance and CPI goals. Attend required training and meetings. Other duties as assigned. Six years of experience in grant-making, strategy consulting, impact investing, financing, program metrics, philanthropic capital, or grants. Four years of experience in program metrics. Three years of experience in nonprofit business operations and contract funding mechanisms. Preferences

Seven years of experience in business management, grant-making, strategy consulting, impact investing, finance management, program metrics, philanthropic capital, or grants. Three years of military experience or working with military or veteran service organizations. Three years of experience working with a nonprofit organization. EducationRequirements

Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, business administration, public administration, information technology, data science, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field. Equivalent combination of education, experience, training, or certification may be considered in lieu of degree. Preferences

Master’s degree in nonprofit management, business, accounting, economics, finance, data analytics, or other relevant field. Certifications & LicensureRequirements

Valid state-issued driver’s license. Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire. Preferences
