Department : Mental Health Reports to : Chief Program Officer, Mental Health Supervises : Program Managers, Team Leads, Clinicians Status : Exempt Location : CSM Fire House -1444 - 7th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 Setting : Hybrid, not 100% onsite Summary The People Concern’s Santa Monica Outreach Program is seeking a licensed mental health professional (Ph.D., Psy.D., LCSW or LMFT) to serve as the director of 3 multidisciplinary street outreach teams (Homeless Multidisciplinary Street Team, Downtown SM C3, and Beach SM C3). These teams are part of a City of Santa Monica strategy to combat homelessness. The goal of HMST is to target the highest utilizers of the City of Santa Monica’s emergency resources (police, fire, and hospitals). The goal of the C3 teams is to focus intensive outreach efforts in the areas of greatest density of PEH. These skilled interdisciplinary teams use best practices for engaging chronically homeless individuals with co-occurring mental health, substance use, and/or medical issues. The Director provides clinical oversight for both teams, clinical and administrative supervision for Program Managers and Clinical Case Managers, coordinates interagency and community relationships, works directly with City of SM and DHS funders, and supports broader agency initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leverage partnerships with community health providers, the business community, and social service/housing providers to house the homeless people living on the streets of Santa Monica Lead multidisciplinary teams to remove personal barriers to permanent housing, and oversee the day-to-day activities of the street-based engagement team members with a focus on clinical care and housing placement Lead morning and afternoon team meetings to ensure continuity of care, plan and organize daily workflows, and delegate work to the multidisciplinary teams Oversee the identification of appropriate interim and permanent housing and supportive services, taking into account each individual’s physical and cognitive needs Work collaboratively with public, private, and nonprofit sector groups to establish and provide services Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement, mentor team members, and maintain professional and leadership skills Ensure adherence to all funder contract and performance standards Provide individual and team supervision and clinical supervision, and conduct performance evaluations for all assigned staff Oversee program data collection and timely reporting to compliance and contract activities for funding sources and regulatory bodies Develop and implement systems to enhance communication and collaboration with other systems of care within and outside of the project Attend meetings and conferences, prepare written reports, and complete related projects as requested Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred, ideally in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Urban Planning; or a Licensed Mental Health Clinician Three or more years working in a social service agency that provided outreach and street engagement services; public sector experience is highly desirable Two years of supervision experience, preferably in a nonprofit agency that serves homeless, mentally ill or dually-diagnosed people Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HMIS Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work independently and creatively Detail oriented with excellent time management and organization, proficient in written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal team building and computer skills Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment Work Environment

Combination of field and office Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs Occasionally walk or drive to different local sites Work in busy and loud environments May be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor May need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the day Expected Behaviors of All Staff
