The Business Relationship Manager - Brooklyn West - AVP role at Citi involves proactively sourcing, acquiring, expanding, and retaining customer relationships by maximizing sales opportunities in an assigned area, growing and retaining a book of business, and delivering a world-class customer experience. Individuals in this role are Subject Matter Experts on Deposit, Credit, and Cash Management products and support their assigned area branches end to end. Responsibilities

Lead as the subject matter expert across a broad sales area of assigned branches, including branch stakeholders and Area partners (e.g. Wealth Management, Mortgage). Partner with cross-retail segment Area peers spanning Wealth Management, Consumer and Mortgage to optimize relationships and execute the sales plan. Be accountable to scorecard metrics and KPIs defined by Senior Management. Support the development of small business knowledge and skills within the assigned branch Area team through joint sales activities, training, and identifying referral opportunities. Call on the assigned book of high-value clients to deepen relationships, retain business, and proactively uncover future needs, roadblocks, or risks to achieve goals. Educate and introduce clients to appropriate products and services to grow balance and revenue of the portfolio. Manage credit requests up to $250K, and work with Sr. Business Bankers on lending beyond $250K. Develop and execute an integrated sales plan to achieve scorecard results, drive acquisition of new-to-bank clients, and target industries/sectors. Adhere to sales management routines, practices, and protocols for Business Banking to ensure compliance with policies. Proactively manage a portfolio of high-value clients, expanding relationships by identifying needs and opportunities while ensuring satisfaction and retention. Foster teamwork and Business Banking knowledge across branches to ensure a positive customer experience; be accountable to client service scores. Collaborate with Consumer and Wealth partners to deepen client relationships. Work with credit/risk teams and Branches to facilitate loan closings, including pipeline management, loan escalations/appeals, and pricing issues. Adhere to internal control policies including accurate documentation for account openings and credit processes. Assess risk in business decisions, uphold Citis reputation, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations, escalating and reporting control issues as needed. Qualifications

5-8 years of experience, preferably 2-5 years in banking or 2-3 years in Business Banking. Exceptional consulting skills; ability to probe, listen, clarify, and present information to advance sales. Analytical skills to assimilate complex financial and operating information. Professional presentation and strong communication and influencing skills. Knowledge of credit structuring and processing; credit training preferred. Customer-oriented and responsive with strong organizational skills and business development abilities. This role requires registering as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtaining a unique identifier, maintaining registration annually, and providing the identifier as required by law and Citi policies.
