Sr. Guidewire Developer with Ace PolicyCenter Certification Role Type:

6 month Contract to Hire Any Work Authorization Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, and test significant technical solutions collaborating with senior and lead engineers. Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning at a team level. Organize work and lead team to deliver features and solutions. Independently resolve complex production issues and lead troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems. Mentor and coach junior engineers. May begin working with architecture to help influence directions for key technologies within a specific domain. Required Skills / Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, including Product Model configuration, Entity, Batch process, REST, Web services Integrations, PCF, Gosu Scripts, and Rules. (Lead: 10 years+, Senior 5-10 years) Guidewire PolicyCenter Associate certification for version 10.x; Guidewire ACE 10.x certification is preferred. Experience with Guidewire Cloud Implementation from Inception to Implementation phases. Experience with one or more technologies: Java, Kafka, Spring, Redis, Kubernetes, OpenShift. Able to articulate complex technology subjects to IT and business audiences at all organizational levels. Demonstrate effective communication and build high-trust relationships with peers and leaders. Able to develop solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter out-of-box services, in-house developed APIs, and third-party vendor APIs. Able to migrate legacy applications to Guidewire and AWS Cloud and create reusable patterns to reduce future migration costs. Experience with system operations and addressing non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, performance, maintainability, load balance, resilience, disaster recovery). Experience with SAFe framework or similar agile frameworks. Minimum Education / Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required. 6+ years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within a specific discipline/technology. Demonstrated ability to independently research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions. Preferred Education / Experience

Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter. Experience working with Commercial Lines within Guidewire. Experience in Program Management in Agile environment and collaboration with multiple teams to present strategy/status to Executive Management. Experience in handling and engaging vendors and ability to connect and communicate effectively with Architects to present research findings and analysis to make recommendations. Able to craft and monitor vendor SLOs to drive vendor performance and availability. Exposure to public cloud environment (AWS), processes and tools. Location
