Overview
ASG is seeking a
Senior Wireless Engineer & Architect . This senior role will lead the architecture, engineering, and sustainment of enterprise Wi-Fi and RF services, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performing connectivity for CDCs and regional offices worldwide. What You Will Do
Serves as design authority for enterprise Wi-Fi and RF services across the global environment. Conducts site surveys, RF modeling, and spectrum analysis for 2.4/5/6 GHz bands. Architects and deploys wireless controllers, access points, and enterprise authentication (802.1X, WPA3-Enterprise, segmentation). Develops and maintains heatmaps, channel plans, coverage maps, and performance baselines. Integrates wireless solutions with DoD IA/cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and DISA STIGs. Troubleshoots wireless performance issues, including interference, roaming, QoS, and capacity challenges. Supports audit readiness and compliance validation for wireless infrastructures. Provides wireless architecture documentation, SOPs, and lifecycle refresh plans. Collaborates with network engineers, ISSOs, and cybersecurity staff to ensure secure, compliant wireless integration with enterprise systems. Mentors junior engineers and provide technical leadership in wireless/RF engineering. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise wireless/RF engineering, with at least 5 years in architecture roles supporting DoD or DISA environments. Demonstrated expertise in wireless architecture, secure deployment, and RF optimization. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in key tasks and high-impact assignments. Demonstrated ability to plan and lead major technology initiatives. Proven experience evaluating performance outcomes and recommending improvements that drive project success. Recognized as a technical expert across multiple projects or domains. Travel up to 25% may be required based on project needs. Certifications
Security+ CE. Clearance
Active Secret Clearance. Even Better
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. CWNA, CWDP, or CWAP (Certified Wireless Network certifications). CCNP Wireless or CCIE Wireless. Experience with RF spectrum analysis tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet, or equivalent). Familiarity with Wi-Fi 6/6E, Zero Trust segmentation, and secure roaming technologies. Strong knowledge of DISA STIGs, RMF compliance, and IA policy for wireless systems. Additional Information
