Overview
The NPI Sourcing Assistant Manager EV Battery System role at Hyundai MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC focuses on supporting the supplier development department in developing and implementing new parts for the assigned Battery system assembly projects. The role collaborates with suppliers to ensure parts meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and meet cost targets. It requires a deep understanding of the Battery system, its components and interactions, and expertise in supplier manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement. Strong communication and project management skills are necessary to keep stakeholders informed and ensure projects stay on track. The NPI Sourcing Assistant Manager works closely with the supplier development department to ensure parts are developed and delivered on time and issues are resolved quickly, ultimately contributing to the success of the Battery system assembly project by meeting quality standards, on-time delivery, and cost targets. Responsibilities Assists with part development and implementations for an assigned project with suppliers and other department. Develops detailed project plans, tactical execution, schedules in each part project. Provides Management overview and reporting on critical project tasks. Maintains strong relationship with suppliers, internal and external customers. Communicates regularly with upper management including HQ regarding the status of current projects, obtains upper management guidance and approval as required.
Supplier Management
Assists suppliers to meet the quality requirement during project and program. Respond to supply shortages for supplier-related issues. Conducts Value engineering for any possible cost savings. Handles supplier's ISIR review and approval, supplier quality audit. Other tasks as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Related field experience of at least 3 years in Supplier development or Supply Quality Management or automotive/battery industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to speak and write in both Korean and English Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Good written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and technical skills
Preferred Education & Experience
Experience in Welding (GMAW/MIG/FSW/Laser) and Press Process Experience in automotive manufacturing environment Experience in battery manufacturing environment Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings and knowledge of design tools ERP experience
