We are looking for a
Senior Project Engineer for Facility Engineering
to resolve technical issues at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) and to support capital and expense projects within the Engineering Fix it Now (EFIN) group. This role reports to the Facilities Support Lead / Supervisory Engineer and is matrixed to the EFIN Manager for work assignments. It requires a strong on-site presence at Columbia, with in-person attendance five days a week and an option for a 9/80 schedule. No relocation assistance is provided. We consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future. Key Responsibilities: Resolve technical issues at CFFF and support related projects. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on system design, analysis, and evaluation using engineering software. Apply engineering principles, codes, and standards such as ASME and ANSI to design, analysis, and evaluation tasks. Develop calculations and reports to document design and analysis results, adhering to ASME Sections VIII, IX, and X, API, and other relevant codes and standards. Conduct field walkdowns and oversee construction activities. Support factory and site acceptance testing, as well as startup and commissioning of equipment and systems. Implement procurement engineering and part optimization techniques. Diagnose and troubleshoot existing equipment issues. Coordinate with electrical, I&C, civil, and structural engineers. Participate in project teams and stakeholder meetings to present technical material and justify design choices. Manage work within scope, budget, and schedule constraints. Assist with emergent issues and after-hours calls as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering design role. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Familiarity with the power industry, manufacturing, chemical plants, or instrumentation & controls and automation systems. Knowledge of ASME Section VIII and related criteria. Technical leadership skills. Understanding of NRC and OSHA standards and regulations. Why Westinghouse?
