A growing civil litigation firm seeks an associate attorney with employment law experience, especially in wage and hour class actions and PAGA. The role offers hands-on work across all litigation stages, with mentorship from experienced partners and meaningful case responsibility.
This position is hybrid and the ideal candidate must reside in San Diego, CA.
Job Duties
Manage all aspects of complex employment litigation matters, particularly class actions and representative actions
Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and dispositive motions
Conduct legal research and fact investigations
Take and defend depositions; prepare clients and witnesses
Represent clients in court at hearings and conferences
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure strategic, efficient case handling
Job Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, with direct exposure to class action defense and PAGA matters
Exceptional writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Proven ability to manage deadlines, juggle multiple matters, and operate with autonomy
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
Familiarity with iManage and Coyote Analytics is a plus
Comfortability billing between 1850-1900+ annually
