Democratic National Committee The South Deputy Finance Director assists the South Finance Director in overseeing the major donor fundraising efforts in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The Deputy Finance Director works closely with their Finance Director in creating and implementing a region-specific finance plan and supporting the execution of principle and surrogate travel and fundraising events. The Deputy Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with the top donors in their region. The South Deputy Finance Director is based in Washington, DC and reports directly to the South Finance Director at the Democratic National Committee.

Identifying hosts and executing events with principals and surrogates in their region
Providing support for the execution of travel in the region including scheduling donor meetings and creating briefing memos
Assisting in the execution of fundraising events in the region
Assisting the Regional Finance Director in maintaining donor relationships
Performing research to identify prospective new major donors and raisers and working to re-engage lapsed donors
Creating and managing a tracking system for all donors
Creating and managing a finance email program to keep major donors informed and engaged
Providing support to the Regional Finance Director as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field
2-3 years of related work experience
Detail oriented and proficient in Excel
Working knowledge of NGP database preferred
Experience working on campaign or political committee fundraising teams for 1-2 cycles preferred
Some travel required

Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Some political campaign experience
Strong and engaging interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits The starting salary for the South Deputy Finance Director position is $74,880 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will require travel, which could be up to 1-15% of the time. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
