The Director, Alternative Investments will join the Franklin Templeton Alternative Investments Sales team and focus on increasing assets under management for retail funds at Clarion Partners, Benefits Street Partners, and Lexington Partners. The role covers the Midwest territory (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin) and targets RIAs, Family Office, and Bank Trust clients.

Responsibilities
Develop and build long-term productive relationships with RIAs, Family Office & Bank Trust clients. Prospect RIAs and related channels that use alternative investments, particularly those with limited liquidity and low correlation to traded markets. Utilize a consultative sales process: identify needs, provide meaningful solutions, and deliver superior service. Understand and articulate capital markets, complex product structures, and real estate strategies. Develop a deep understanding of competitor products and position Franklin Templeton products effectively. Integrate current themes and campaigns into a consultative sales process to drive fund flows. Deliver compelling presentations to financial advisors and potential investors in various settings. Maintain and update the CRM system with all field activities. Own sales performance and achieve sales goals; manage a large territory with planned travel. Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Business; MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in an external sales capacity. CAIA, CFA or CIMA preferred. Proven success and relationships with RIA, Family Office & Bank Trust channels; relationships with RIAs using alternative investments are preferred. Strong knowledge of portfolio construction, low-correlation asset classes, and limited liquidity strategies. Knowledge of NTRs, Interval Funds and/or private placements including drawdown vehicles. Current FINRA registrations preferred: Series 7, 63. Team player with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, energetic, goal-oriented with strong time-management and organization. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and collaboratively. Ideal Candidate Attributes
