They are seeking a paralegal to assist with business and corporate litigation matters. Zirtual provides law firms with practice-area specific, experienced virtual paralegals. Our US-based paralegals strive to meet attorney-client needs and expectations. Paralegals are vital members of Zirtual and may work with assigned clients independently, with support from an Account Supervisor for plan modifications, questions, and feedback on quality, delegation, and collaboration best practices.

The paralegal will provide professional service by completing tasks and projects as assigned, ensuring they are executed on time and to a high level of quality. The paralegal will be the main point of contact for assigned clients and should be familiar with each client’s needs and preferences. Consistent, proactive communication with clients and Account Supervisors is required. Paralegals are expected to be available during business hours as agreed with each client; around-the-clock availability is not expected. Time should be entered daily using a provided tool, with response times tailored to each client’s needs, and client profiles maintained in accordance with Zirtual’s best practices. Responsibilities

Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, subpoenas, and other litigation documents. Assist with case management, including organizing case files, maintaining document databases, and tracking deadlines. Conduct legal research, investigate facts, and summarize findings for attorney review. Manage the discovery process, including document collection, review, production, and preparation of privilege logs. Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders. Summarize depositions, medical records, contracts, and other relevant case materials. Communicate with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner. Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with local rules and procedures. Support attorneys with trial preparation and provide in-trial assistance as needed. Maintain billing records, track time, and assist with case budgeting and expense management. Requirements

Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience handling commercial litigation Business-hour availability Reliable home internet and computer Remote work experience preferred Benefits
