Overview
Endurance IT Services is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 6-month client project. This is a contract position located in Hampton, VA. The Senior Network Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable network architecture, and will be responsible for hands-on network installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring network security and performance optimization. Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Hands-on Cisco routing experience (EIGRP, HSRP, BGP) and switching (Nexus). Firewall experience with Cisco ASA/FTD. Administer wide-area and local-area networks, including wireless and remote access connectivity. Maintain VoIP and video infrastructure. Perform network maintenance and upgrades. Troubleshoot and restore network systems. Secure network systems by enforcing policies and monitoring access. Optimize network performance and collaborate on improvements. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent hands-on work experience. Expert hands-on network engineering experience. Full understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models. Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Expert knowledge of VLANs, Cisco Wireless, VPNs, Port Channels, ACLs, and other network protocols. Experience with Cisco UC Phone System, Cisco Wireless Technologies, Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA. Experience with Network Security and Penetration Testing. Valid Commonwealth of Virginia operators license. Ability to pass an FBI criminal background check. Cisco routing (EIGRP, HSRP, BGP) and switching (Nexus). Cisco DNA Cisco ISE network access control Cisco Firewall (ASA and Firepower) Cisco Unified Communications Seniority level
