Overview
The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and will play a critical role in managing the financial integrity of the companys operations. This individual will oversee general ledger activities, ensure compliance with GAAP, support cost accounting, and provide timely and accurate financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to analyze financial performance, support decision-making, and improve internal controls within a manufacturing environment. Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed. Cost & Inventory Accounting: Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, standard costs, and variances. Partner with operations to review production costs, margins, and manufacturing overhead. Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis against actual results. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for operational decisions. Assist with cash flow analysis and working capital management. Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Implement and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting. Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with procurement, production, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency. Provide financial support for capital projects, product costing, and pricing decisions. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across functions and present financial data to leadership. What We Offer
