Lead Software Engineer to lead and drive production support for critical Prior Authorization platforms including PAS and PANDA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and modernization of our production systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Pega, Azure, and AI/ML, and will lead efforts towards stability and availability of Priority 1 Critical Business Applications. Location
Location - US (Hybrid) (Minneapolis, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, Connecticut and Massachusetts, Pennsylvania). Central & Eastern Time zone preferred. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities
Lead support for Priority 1 Critical business applications like PAS and PANDA along with a couple of P3 applications like RxAuth and PAHub, ensuring uptime, performance, and SLA adherence through Incident management and root cause analysis for P1/P2 issues, with a focus on proactive detection and resolution Own and evolve the observability strategy using tools like Splunk, Azure Monitor, and custom telemetry; drive the implementation of AI/ML-based monitoring and alerting systems to reduce incident influx and improve triaging speed Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Dev, Support, and Infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery and support Contribute to the design and development of automation scripts and tools to enhance system reliability and reduce manual toil Champion the use of Azure-native services and Pega platform capabilities to modernize legacy workflows Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in a production support lead or Service Level Owner role 4+ years in Pega platform development/support and administration 2+ years with Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Functions, Monitor, DevOps) Solid experience with observability tools like Splunk, App Insights, and Dynatrace Proven excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Flexible to work off hours including weekends in case of critical business issues (e.g., Priority 1 or 2 incidents) Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management domains Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., CoPilot, Splunk MLTK) and understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to operational use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive alerts) Additional Information
