Data Architect II (Full-Time, Remote, North Carolina Based)

Alliance Health is hiring a Data Architect II responsible for the overall design, development, and support of the Alliance Enterprise Data Warehouse, the MicroStrategy Data Analytics project, and other enterprise data platforms. Responsibilities include defining data requirements driven by business needs and developing data constructs and processes to support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. The Data Architect II provides leadership and guidance to other teams in data modeling, data governance and data quality best practices. Location/Travel

This position is full-time remote. Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina. Some travel for onsite meetings to the Home office at Morrisville may be required. Responsibilities Assist with Data Strategy support the Data Architecture Manager and area Director in defining the overall data strategy and architecture, including master data management and data governance activities and initiatives. Assist in establishing standards and guidelines for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-supported data platforms. Assist in defining and implementing the strategic analytics roadmap for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, MicroStrategy, and other enterprise data platforms, including data integration and available data sources. Interpret and deliver plans that support corporate strategy and improve data integration, data quality and data delivery for business initiatives and roadmaps.

Data Requirements & Analysis

Participate in business analysis activities to elicit data product requirements. Translate requirements, including high-level requirements, into technical specifications to develop the required data constructs. Perform data analysis of healthcare datasets and data constructs to gain insights into data availability and usage and its relation to development efforts and integration into enterprise data platforms.

Data Modeling & Engineering

Design, develop and maintain data solutions and models to store, retrieve, report, and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources. Design, develop and maintain ETL and ELT processes. Collaborate with ETL Developers, BI Report Developers, Data Engineers, and other data roles in design, development, testing, and implementation of data products and solutions. Ensure data quality and consistency across platforms. Monitor data platforms performance by executing tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.

QA / Peer Review

Test and review data products, processes, solutions, and models to ensure they meet requirements and align with development standards and best practices. Documentation

Document developed data products following development standards and best practices, including both technical and end-user documentation. Maintain and update the organizations data catalog as necessary.

Data Product Support

Provide support on developed data products as required and collaborate with and cross-train other team members.

Minimum Requirements Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Data Architect in a multi-dimensional data warehouse with involvement supporting an enterprise analytics platform, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

SQL, preferably T-SQL DW/multidimensional models and star-join schemas Analysis of large and/or complex datasets MicroStrategy (or similar BI platform) development Communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Employment & Background Checks

Employment for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and credit check, performed after acceptance of an offer and prior to start date. Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $105,497 - $120,002.52 annually Exact compensation will be determined based on education, experience, external market data, and internal equity Excellent fringe benefit package including medical/dental/vision, life, long term disability, retirement savings, flexible work schedules (including hybrid/remote options), and paid time off
