Learn data systems, sources, methodologies, logic, parameters, load times, lag considerations, data limitations, governance guidelines and any other data-related topics Use statistical and data science approaches to deliver timely and accurate insights and reporting Enhance efficiency and accuracy of data analytics and reporting Develop and share best practices in reporting and data analytics Collaborate and cross train team members as needed Provide recommended enhancements to processes and systems in place Identify and develop high-impact insights and data models Lead data analysis and data quality assurance in collaboration with tool enablement team Work on complex projects and perform data analytics at a high level Keep up to date on industry trends, best practices and emerging methodologies in the fields of data science, statistics, and healthcare Present predictive model analysis to clients as needed Internal role - minimum to no travel Compensation and benefits are based on multiple factors including location, education, experience, and certifications. The salary range for this role is $89,900 to $160,600 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package and eligibility-based programs. Masters degree in data science, Biostatistics or related field 4+ years of experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, and predictive analytics Proven ability to work with large datasets across disparate relational databases and familiarity with various database technologies Proficient in statistical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, and/or Stata Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of healthcare claims data analysis Excellent analytical, financial, and business acumen, with the ability to translate data into compelling business cases Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary and ambiguous environments Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, both independently and in team settings Effective time management and multitasking skills across concurrent projects Proactive in seeking clarity by asking the right questions to ensure task accuracy Remote work policy: All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Groups Telecommuter Policy.
