Reliability Engineer Huntsville, AL Seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability (RAM&T) analysis efforts across complex defense systems. This role supports subsystem design development, identifies failure risks, and collaborates with product teams and suppliers to ensure system readiness and resilience. Responsibilities Drive RAM&T engineering for new designs and modifications in support of mission-critical systems. Perform
RAM&T analyses , including allocations, predictions, and mission reliability modeling
Establish, monitor, and verify
subsystem RAM&T performance requirements
Conduct
Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
and
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Support
Built-In Test (BIT)
and testability analysis for system diagnostics
Develop and assess
reliability growth ,
HALT ,
ESS , and
maintainability demonstrations
Lead and support
FRACAS
investigations and mitigation strategies
Interface with
Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
and suppliers to ensure subsystem compliance
Provide technical input and support across lifecycle development phases
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of engineering experience Experience in the Reliability and Maintainability discipline. Active Department of Defense Secret clearance Desired Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Reliability and Maintainability discipline Ability to perform RAM&T allocations and predictions Ability to develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis Ability to perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis Ability to develop mission reliability analysis Ability to support team investigations of issues Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Experience with maintainability demonstrations Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Excellent interpersonal, team collaboration, and communication skills (written and oral) This position requires a government security clearance.
