Data Analyst

Index Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst to support Government clients. The Data Analyst will be responsible for data research, analysis and generating insights for the team along with developing data analytics-related reports as needed, including the use of common business intelligence tools.
Responsibilities Research and analyze datasets from multiple sources to uncover usable insights. Work with subject matter experts to understand what data is available and how it can be used. Work with data owners to arrange the collection and use of data. Work with the team to organize and derive findings from acquired data and make data available to consumers. Work with datasets to develop strategies to find and derive information to strengthen program operations. Perform routine data analysis using various techniques (e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining). Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets. Provide business data interpretation, work with the internal or external client to identify analytical requirements and produce ad hoc data and reports. Create dashboards and reports that meet the client's business needs. Develop and automate processes for data collection and reporting to improve efficiency. Qualifications
US citizen or authorized to work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation. Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or relevant discipline required. Minimum of four years' experience performing data analyst functions or relevant discipline required. Experience in data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, methodology development and evaluation. Ability to analyze, transform, and join data from different data sources to derive data to inform guidance for consumers. Experience outlining work necessary for analysis of datasets and initiatives. Experience creating reports and dashboards to present findings to the client. Good communication skills to openly communicate and work closely with a team of engineers, internal and external stakeholders, and the client. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Self-driven. Willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinions and direction. Escalates appropriately in a timely manner.
