Mid-level .Net Core Software Developer

to join the Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This is a

full-time

on-site position (no remote or hybrid work). RMLS is the FAAs logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file. We are looking for an experienced individual to work independently and in a team environment. This individual: Provides expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems. Has experience with software programming languages used for the National Airspace System (NAS) and NAS support systems. These languages include, but are not limited to: .Net Core, MVS, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, etc. Possesses a technical understanding of systems; databases; networking; computing environments; virtualization. Should be able to:

Identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges. Collaborate with team members in an agile environment to identify and resolve problems, and test solutions.

Citizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance. Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA). Have resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years. The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time. Relocation Requirement Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Education Requirement All Non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelors degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field. OR Masters Degree in any field of study with a minimum thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and nine (9) years related work experience in a computer science or math field. Required Skills Excellent knowledge/experience in: Back-end Technologies: .Net Core, ASP.NET, Model-View-Controller (MVC), and Web services Front-end Technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and AJAX Writing database queries and procedures using Procedural Language / Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) Ability to: Work independently, as well as a team. Research and problem solve. Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication. Preferred Skills Knowledge/experience in: Back-end Technologies: Oracle Schedule Jobs, Oracle Queues, PP, Python, and Web server-side (Apache/IIS) Front-end Technologies: Angular Job Duties Essential Daily Job Duties Provide 2nd Level Engineering support for RMLS: Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software using the back-end and front-end technologies listed above. End-user functionality support. Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and any other meetings as requested to support program and team. Work in an agile team environment. Work Environment Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule. Occasional travel. Cubicle environment. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
