Overview
Enterprise - DevOps Engineer - AWS, Edge, Kubernetes at Erias Ventures. We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer with strong Linux, container, automation, and AWS experience to join a fast-paced development team. The role focuses on infrastructure implementation, deployment automation, and ensuring reliability and scalability of services across cloud and edge environments. Responsibilities
Build, design, implement, and refine cloud architecture while providing prescriptive guidance across the network and security Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure, including on-premise and portable equipment Lead early scoping definitions and identify critical dependencies Collaborate with functional business units to drive solutions and direction Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS Act as the primary escalation point for tier 3 operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to improve our infrastructure Serve as an advisor on advanced projects and programs; provide guidance to management and customers on technical research and applications Other duties as assigned Clearance
A current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required. Experience & Qualifications
15+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development with a Bachelors in a related field; or 13 years with a Masters; or High School Diploma/equivalent with 19 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting Proficiency with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet) Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their use in deployment and management Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go Familiarity with Git and related development tools Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies Work location: Fort Meade, MD or Lackland, TX customer site; flexibility as needed Desired Skills
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto) Experience with containers (EKS, Diode), CI/CD, and Terraform Benefits & Compensation
Erias Ventures provides a comprehensive benefits package. Salary range: $150,000 $250,000 depending on education and experience.
