$80,000-$100,000+ Per Year, Based on Experience Full Job Description As a Civil Construction Asst. Project Manager at Condon-Johnson & Associates, Inc., you will learn the fundamentals of construction project management and the technical details of ground improvement, shoring, and foundation drilling while assisting with job site management. You will gain practical, hands-on experience in the field for 3 to 5 years, progressively taking on more project management responsibilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on geotechnical construction projects and grow toward becoming a Project Manager. Responsibilities Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of project administration, including budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and profitability for deep foundation, earth retention, and ground improvement projects. Team Supervision: Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring all work aligns with company policies and regulatory standards. Client Communication: Maintain strong client relationships by acting as the primary point of contact, managing expectations, and resolving any issues. Project Planning: Review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, and staffing requirements. Billing & Payments: Complete owner billings and process payments in accordance with project contracts, ensuring financial accuracy. Budget Monitoring: Track and adjust project budgets to maintain profitability and manage resources efficiently. Change Management: Execute internal and external change management processes to adapt to project requirements. Safety Management: Ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by enforcing compliance with OSHA, EPA, and EHS regulations. Project Closeout: Manage the project closeout process to ensure that contractual agreements are met and final documentation is completed. Communication: Maintain regular communication with Superintendents, field staff, and team members to ensure updates on project progress and alignment with goals. Qualifications Education: BS or MS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred. Experience: 2-3 years of field experience and 5-8 years of progressively responsible project management experience, ideally in deep foundations, earth retention, and ground improvement. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding OSHA/EPA construction standards, and EHS regulations, with experience conducting safety training. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to guide teams and maintain high standards of work. Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing environments.
