About The Role Our mission is to make all of our customers security-relevant data continuously available for automated detection and response, threat hunting, and other Falcon use cases. The LogScale Search team is growing to support >100 PB of daily ingested data, up to 10 years of retention, and dozens of millions of queries per hour. As a Senior Engineer on the LogScale Search team, you will deliver scale to customers by developing new features and improving existing functionality. You will join a distributed team of engineers who share a passion for the product and work on hard engineering problems with high impact. You will help drive a fast, reliable, best-in-class log storage solution and work with teams across the organization to ensure scalability and reliability of LogScale clusters. Teams in LogScale have autonomy and own parts of the experience from ideation to deployment and feedback. This includes ensuring high quality through automated and manual testing, observing production features via dashboards, and maintaining scalability for ingestion, data digestion, and data querying. What Youll Do

Work in a team of supportive colleagues through code reviews, pairing, documentation, design reviews and technical guidance Lead by example with customer and product focus and operational excellence by monitoring features and troubleshooting critical customer issues Deliver cross-team platform initiatives by owning or participating in scoping, designing and developing new features Develop the LogScale backend in Scala and extend the product to scale with increasing ingest and query load while ensuring high availability Collaborate with peers across teams on solutions, design documents, technical talks and improving internal documentation Communicate effectively with global teams as the company is remote-first What Youll Need

Passion for distributed systems and curiosity about how running systems perform 6+ years of software development experience with ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term goals Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services Fluency in functional and object-oriented programming and ability to learn new languages quickly Can-do attitude and strong teamwork, with willingness to take on responsibilities Demonstrated track record of operational excellence in complex distributed services Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to individual contributors and management Bonus Points

Experience programming in Scala Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with compilers and language design Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization (e.g., 1 trillion+ requests per day or >10 PB/day) Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package. #J-18808-Ljbffr
