Software Engineer
The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team where you will troubleshoot console failures by tracing and analyzing software functionality, conduct software integration testing and formal proofing support and execution, for sustaining special test equipment. Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work in the office full-time. In this role, you will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM! Key activities you will accomplish in this role: Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer. Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation, and scalability. Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology. Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs. To be effective in this role, you will need: Experience with C/C++, UNIX/LINUX operating system, utilizing configuration management tools and SW/HW integration experience. 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree. While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Why Lockheed Martin? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline. Knowledgeable in several SW programming platforms including C/C++. Experience with configuration management tools. Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Understands and can work in Agile Methodologies including SCRUM, Confluence and JIRA. Proficient in all MS Office products. Familiar with Windows/Linux/Unix Operating Systems. Knowledgeable/Experience on FBM Program. Familiar with Support Test Equipment. Experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM). Experience with Virtual Machines (VMs). Familiar with Jenkins.
