Role serves as the Industrial Air Quality (IAQ) applications engineer for North America, acting as the technical expert on products and their applications to ensure correct selections meet technical requirements. Provide technical support and education to sales channel partners and end users on AAF products, applications and troubleshooting. Maintain accurate product price sheets and quotation templates; support sales in timely quotation and order acceptance reviews ensuring bids meet technical and pricing targets. This can be an engineering entry level position or an experienced engineer position. Technical Training Conduct wet and dry product line training, including education on current industry codes and standards related to environmental products to internal and external sales teams, channel partners, OEMs, and end users. Provide training on products and applications related to knowledge and approach to technical applications to internal teams. Provide application and product support and training to North American customers as needed. Applications & Support Provide information on product application and technical assistance as required by customers. Conduct system/product calculations to support and check technical proposals for required application. Provide timely product quotation support and order acceptance review, including working with suppliers to obtain solutions, pricing, and lead times for non-standard offerings. Troubleshoot problems with AAF equipment, including field site inspections as needed. Oversee in-field product startup and customer training sessions as needed. Ensure product price sheets and quotation templates are accurate and up to date. Support development of technical/applications information for marketing materials and product launch campaigns. Ensure effective use of configurator/rep portal within North America and coordinate with IT and marketing to update or change as needed. Participate in regional air pollution control industry consortiums, councils, and groups as directed by the EP business manager. Administrative duties Ensure intercompany and direct quotations and sales are recorded accurately and timely in Salesforce. Maintain regional database for customer references. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Design teams to identify opportunities to improve products, adjust/change technical specifications, and pursue standardization where possible. Travel throughout North America and globally as required (approximately 20-30%). Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Chemical or related field. Experience in technical applications (HVAC, gas turbine, etc.); air pollution control industry a plus but not required. Experience in training/education of others on technical subjects is desirable. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving, quantitative and business analysis skills. Ability to share skills and knowledge with others. Proficiency with office computer software. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office setting. Experience in industrial air cleaning and application of airflow in equipment design is desirable. Experience in product development and customer/design engineering is preferred. Familiarity with particulate (primarily) and gaseous (secondarily) air pollution control technology is preferred. Understanding and application of industry codes and standards related to product design is desirable.
