POSITION SUMMARY
The WIP Specialist is responsible for tracking and managing materials and semi-finished goods as they move through each stage of the fabrication and assembly process. Key Duties and essential functions
Monitor and record the status of piping components (e.g. pipe spools, flanges, fittings) as they progress through fabrication, welding, testing, and coating stages. Identify and report delays in production flow and escalate issues to supervisors. Maintain accurate records of WIP status, work order updates, and material location changes Report any discrepancies. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers. Operate and perform preventive maintenance on warehouse vehicles and equipment. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations. Adhere to safety standards and actively participate in keeping the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free. Ensure WIP materials are properly labeled and stored in designated, segregated areas to maintain traceability. Supervisory Responsibilities

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational and data management skills Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, vendors, and other departments Office 365 skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Knowledge of warehouse operations: a solid understanding of warehouse processes, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and storage systems, is essential. Forklift Certification with 3-5 years experience Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Global Shop or equivalent software. Experience preferably in the piping or related industry. Experience working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 8 years or more forklift experience preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands: Sitting and Standing:
This role typically involves periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and speaking on the phone. This role typically involves standing for periods at a time as well. Use of Hands and Fingers:
Frequent use of hands and fingers is required for typing, using a computer mouse, and handling paperwork. Fast and accurate data entry skills are often needed. Talking and Hearing:
This position spends a lot of time on the phone with clients or team members, requiring clear and effective verbal communication. Listening attentively is also essential. Lifting:
This role requires some lifting up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions: Office Environment:
