Physician - Assistant Medical Director for Primary Specialty Medicine CBOCs

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System (HCS) is looking for an Assistant Medical Director of Primary and Specialty Medicine (PSM) for their CBOC locations Alexandria, Montevideo, and Brainerd. The incumbent is responsible for the direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the PSM service line. Duties:

A primary objective of the Primary and Specialty Medicine Service Line is to mentor and lead competent, satisfied staff dedicated to providing high quality patient-centered care. The Assistant Medical Director provides department-level management support, including administrative leadership and direct/indirect supervision of physicians and mid-level providers at the Health Care System and affiliated CBOCs. Responsibilities include coordination of work schedules and responsibility for clinical performance measures. The incumbent works closely with other leaders within the service line and facility to optimize resources in the care delivery model. Additionally, s/he participates in local administrative, management, quality assurance, and other assignments, meetings, or committees as necessary or assigned. Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Benefit Highlights:

Heavy lifting 45 lb or more, moderate carrying, reaching above shoulders, use of hands and legs, prolonged walking/standing, vision/hearing requirements, and other physical requirements as listed in the job announcement. Education:
