This role involves working within the Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management (DPHM) discipline to develop and deploy PHM sensing systems and Fault Detection and Isolation strategies for military development engine programs. The role requires onsite work and a security clearance. What You Will Do
Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS handles requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation, and integration across engine system modules and with air vehicles. The DPHM discipline maintains functional ownership of Prognostic Health Management sensing systems and Fault Detection and Isolation through the product lifecycle to enable Condition Based Maintenance fleet management. The DPHM Advanced Military Engine Program (AMEP) Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for development of PHM Systems for military development engine programs, including requirement decomposition, validation and verification at the sub-system level, advancing technologies for gas path diagnostics, and defining and executing the fault detection and isolation strategy. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and customer counterparts to drive CBM. This position is onsite and requires a security clearance. Meet program and schedule commitments for Component Integrated Product Team PHM system and sub-system hardware and software requirement decomposition, validation, and verification Development and advancement of algorithms to enable Condition Based Maintenance Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of DPHM solutions Mentor early career engineers in systems engineering
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years experience Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Strong foundation in systems engineering principles Knowledge of aerospace control and diagnostic systems Experience in gas turbine engine subsystems and their architecture, performance, and analysis Proficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORs Proficiency in MBSE methodology and tools such as CAMEO Experience coordinating with multiple organizations in cross-functional IPTs Knowledge of relevant military and industry standards and regulations Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA Basic familiarity with FMECA Knowledge of sensor technologies and their applications Statistical data analysis skills to predict outcomes Strong communication, leadership and collaboration across teams Familiarity with data analysis, signal processing and AI/ML Programming tools/languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, and Simulink Proficiency with Microsoft O365
