Sr. Data Analyst at Capital One. This role focuses on leveraging analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions to tackle business problems. Responsibilities
Innovation: Use Open Source/Digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and varied data sources and platforms; build well-managed data solutions and self-service tools for data consumers; demonstrate ability to explore and grasp new technologies to progress initiatives. Business Intelligence: Partner with the business to translate needs into tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization; drive analyses that inform business strategies. Data Management: Promote data quality, metadata, lineage, and business definitions; collaborate with Tech teams on security and data access governance; build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality. Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline Scripting experience in Python, R, Spark, and SQL Experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data) Experience with Snowflake services Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field with at least 2 years of data analytics experience, or pursuing/holding a Masters degree with expected completion by start date At least 1 year of experience with at least one scripting language At least 1 year of experience using a business intelligence visualization tool At least 1 year of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline At least 2 years of experience coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL At least 2 years of experience with process management/improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) At least 1 year of experience with AWS services Experience with data governance and data quality concepts/tools (e.g., Informatica DQ) Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Plano, TX: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Data Analyst. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location. This role is eligible for performance-based incentives which may include cash bonuses or long-term incentives, depending on the plan.
